Heather Morgan is a health coach and recipe developer for a web-based diet and lifestyle program focusing on clean eating and unprocessed foods. Partnered with a registered dietitian, Heather recently co-authored a cookbook to share her passion for nutrition with others. Her inspiration for incorporating nutrition into family meals originated from hosting an organic produce cooperative for over 7 years and volunteering at the local soup kitchen as a cook and kitchen worker for a decade. Through research and experimentation over the past 15 years, she learned multiple ways to incorporate nutritious cooking into her family’s lifestyle and now enjoys sharing this information with others. Heather spends much of her time sharing tips on healthy, creative ways to include the best nutrition into every meal, even for the pickiest of eaters, to anyone who will listen.
In addition to her hobby, turned passion, Heather has been an elementary school teacher, preschool aide, girl scout leader and is currently serving as a substitute teacher in the Morris School District. She has held leadership positions in multiple volunteer parent groups, including the MOMS club and HSA.
Heather’s steadfast mission is looking for new ways to add vegetables into meals her family will enjoy, along with showing her daughters how they can eat healthier for years to come. She is excited to share her knowledge and passion with other parents and caregivers through HomeBase cooking classes. Through these classes, Heather will demonstrate and suggest ways to involve kids in the food-making process, while gaining buy-in for eating the meals they help prepare without complaint or wasted food.
